A travel agency is a company associated with tourism, whose job is to intermediate, organize and carry out projects, plans and itineraries, to prepare and sell tourism products between its clients and certain travel suppliers, such as transporters (airlines, cruises), accommodation services (hotels), with the aim of making tourism goods and services available to those who wish and are able to use them.1

The phrase travel agency has changed its meaning since the emergence of companies like the one mentioned above, which today is considered more like a tour operator. The difference is that tour operators offer their travel plans in a very closed way, while agencies try to be as client-friendly as possible, taking their services from, among others, as many tour operators as possible.

Travel agencies are particularly useful for booking multi-day trips abroad, as they make it easier to deal with foreign companies and solve problems with accommodation and the tourist guide.
